- Determine nutrients required by performing soil and plant testing
- Identify the requirements of a plant nutrition program
- Prepare and document the plant nutrition program
- Monitor the plant nutrition program

| Learning outcomes: |
- Develop a plant nutrition program considering site factors, vine
varietal requirements, soil and plant tissue analysis, nutrient
application procedures, and OHS hazards and environmental impacts.
- Identify the factors that influence decision making about nutritional
management in the vineyard with regard to quality, yield, dollar returns
and sustainability
