Name: Grapevine nutrition - Research to Practice®
Description: A workshop to assist growers develop a grapevine nutrition program.
Cost: After NSW Government subsidy, $260 GST-free.
Course aims:
  • Determine nutrients required by performing soil and plant testing
  • Identify the requirements of a plant nutrition program
  • Prepare and document the plant nutrition program
  • Monitor the plant nutrition program
Learning outcomes:
  • Develop a  plant nutrition program considering site factors, vine varietal requirements, soil and plant tissue analysis, nutrient application procedures, and OHS hazards and environmental impacts.
  • Identify the factors that influence decision making about nutritional management in the vineyard with regard to quality, yield, dollar returns and sustainability

Resources and method of delivery: Participants receive a course manual.

This course is delivered using indoor and outdoor instruction.

Accreditation: This course is mapped to the national unit of competency, RTF4004A - Develop a plant nutrition program.
