  • Effectively carry out service and repairs to bores and windmills
  • Use and maintain specialist tools

  • Record and document service and repair activities
Length: 1½ days
Course program/structure:

Day 1:

  • OH&S issues with bore and windmill sites
  • Service and repair activities
  • Risk control measures discussed and implemented
  • Range of bore and windmill designs and applications identified and discussed
  • Strip down a windmill gearbox and a range of bore pumps in a workshop and discuss servicing and repair procedures

Day 2:

  • Identify and control hazards at a bore and windmill site
  • Identify service and repair needs
  • Correctly use and maintain specialist tools
  • Safely complete service and repairs
  • Record and document service and repairs
Resources and method of delivery:

Participants receive a course manual.

This practical course is mainly delivered outdoors.

Accreditation: This course is mapped to the national unit of competency RTE3312A - Service and repair bores and windmills.
