This course is run in the field and provides skills for participants to assess pasture characteristics influencing pasture and animal production and to develop pasture and livestock management plans. |

$570 GST-free. Includes manual. Landholders in some catchment areas may be eligible for further subsidies for this course.
This course is registered under the Commonwealth Government's FarmReady program. Eligible primary producers can be reimbursed for the cost of this course. See the FarmReady website for more details. |
| Course aims: |
- To visually assess pasture quantity and quality
- To understand how pasture quality and quantity impact on animal production
- Assess livestock fat scores
- To use pasture and livestock assessment as a basis for matching pastures to livestock requirements
- Use grazing management to improve the productivity and sustainability of pastures
