Description: A course for those interested in growing their rural business and developing marketing strategies.
Cost: $250
Course aims: To improve communication and marketing strategies for your farm business.
Learning outcomes:

Length: Three two hour workshops (6 hours total)
Course program/structure: Workshop 1: Managing your business reputation
  • why protecting your reputation is as important as protecting your physical assets
  • identifying your stakeholders and threats to your reputation
  • the tipping point (when community groups turn into protest groups)
  • issues management and communicating during a crisis
  • working with the media

Workshop 2: Marketing strategies

  • why businesses fail
  • identifying your target markets
  • choosing the right marketing tools for your business
  • develop your own marketing plan
  • measuring your success
  • free and low cost marketing tactics to grow your business

Workshop 3: Customer service and internal communications

  • identifying what great service means for your customers
  • how to keep them coming back
  • hot to grow your business through your existing clientele
  • employees are your greatest asset; the benefits of rewarding and recognising your staff
  • communicating change in the workplace
Resources and method of delivery: Participants receive course training materials.

This course is delivered indoors.
