| Description: |
This course enables participants to meet the minimum requirements for training commercial users of pesticides and the requirements for using hazardous substances. |
| Cost: |
After NSW Government subsidy, $255 GST-free.
Includes SMARTtrain® card issue. |
| Course aims: |
- To assist participants to use chemicals safely in the workplace.
- To met the minimum legal requirements for training commercial users of pesticides as specified in the NSW Pesticides Act 1999.
- To meet the requirements for training those using and exposed to substances that are classified as hazardous substances under the NSW OHS Regulation 2001.

| Learning outcomes: |
- Check and maintain application and personal protective equipment under supervision.
- Describe how to use application and personal protective equipment.
- Identify conditions for safely and effectively applying chemicals.
- Determine how to empty and clean equipment and containets.
- Complete chemical records.
- Determine how to transport, handle and store chemicals safely.
